Day three and day one of the real adventure lol

Gday again.

I am sitting in the shade of an old but regal gum tree…of course lol, I love them! You can see his wise old face peeking from the trunk and there is a gap at the bottom almost shaped like a heart from my vantage point 🙂 I like to think that this beautiful old soul is piping love out into the world..well he makes me feel loved and nurtured anyway lol.

Oh I forgot to mention I am in a beautiful little place called Tea Gardens. It is about two hours south of Taree, where I spend a great evening with my friends and parked for the night! I have only been here once before so many years ago and so its a trip down memory lane as well for me. My deepest memory of this place is riding in the back with my boyfriend, who ended up being my husband later on, while my future brother in law and his family took the seats and travelling down the highway… so different to nowadays as it was more a goat track than a highway.. oh I digress lol .. again! Anyway we were all piled into a mini minor would you believe? bwahahahaha oh how I would have hated that now, loved it then though 😛 As we got near the turn off to the Tea Gardens… just north of Newcastle if you are travelling from Sydney… a guy came out of nowhere and collected us! He bolted and my future brother in law gave chase, eventually catching up with him and keeping him there while the police were called and investigated. It turned out he was unlicensed and somewhat drunk ..grrrrrr… we did however make up for the less than auspicious start by putting in another friend’s boat and taking turns going out into the beautiful calm waters here.

So what better place to revisit and rest in, I ask you? I am watching kids swinging happily, the parents laughing and the odd dog shaking the water from their fur. I am really tired today, we had torrential rain all night and the noise in my beloved motorhome was a tad over the top lol. Anyway suffice it to say sleep was scarce and of course, as I have never driven a manual before on the kinds of hills they have at Bulledelah, I was more than a tad nervous. Well my motorhome did it with relative ease really. I did most of it in fifth gear, only going down to fourth once when we hit some road works right on a rather steep but short hill that insisted we do no more than sixty kms lol… I am both proud of myself and my motorhome. Next nervous stretch will be as I go through Sydney tomorrow morning. I am hoping to start somewhere around three or four from here and get through Sydney pretty early. It will be Sunday so those that live there will want mostly to have a super lazy start… much better timing for a country girl and inexperienced manual bus driver like myself :)So here I sit on my derierre and typing to you while I wait for the sun to lose its sting..its around one pm here…and I can change into my bikini and take my darling Alex for a play on the beach hehehe

Meantime I am thinking how enticing that lovely old tree’s shade is for me to set out my picnic blanket and while away some time just daydreaming and listening to any words of wisdom he would like to impart. Well thats it for me for today.. loving my life and the gentleness on offer right now. I am sure I will be back on tomorrow but until then au revoir 😛 Blessings to all
