I make a new friend :)
Sunday 13 11 11.
It is just after two in the afternoon. I haven’t managed to get out into nature properly today except briefly. We went to the markets and since the pier was so close we walked it again this morning. There was only a breath of wind this time, the seas still calm. There was a mixture of grey and blue sky but I could see a new storm beginning to roll off the mountains and I knew that I may not get to spend quite as much time in nature today. I have come to the conclusion that I desperately need to be with Her as often as I can, allowing her to heal this wound that seems to have no bottom. No scabbing seems to be strong enough or hasn’t as yet anyway.
I have meditated this afternoon, seeing the beautiful golden tunnel through which a vivid silvery light seemed to spiral towards me.. funnily enough for one brief moment there were ribbons of purple also wavering around the edges. Maybe my guardians are trying to help me heal.. the purple ribbons were only small and didn’t stay long; yet they have helped. I do feel a little better and I pray it continues.
I want to share with you all my lovely new friendship, struck up as I walked along my favourite headland path 🙂 He is beautiful and somewhat of a deep thinker. He is in the body of a dragon lizard … I have often seen him scuttling back into the brush on the left of the path in the last couple of weeks. This time however, he decided he wanted to get a good look at me! He stopped and turned his head towards me with a deep regard and I know he was sizing me up lol… I could have scared him off the path or just pushed on but I wanted to make this silently wise being’s acquaintance lol… I’m a bit of a ‘curious cat’ so that too was a major part of my decision to crouch on my haunches and allow him to thoroughly work me out! We must have stayed this way for a good five minutes, me quietly communing with him in my mind while I waited. Then, for some reason I felt like singing a song that I do love… would you believe he turned his body face on to me and I swear he listened!
He didn’t move a muscle, though he did occasionally blink so maybe his eyelid muscles lol.. anyway when I had finished he regarded me a little longer and he moved off the path. He didn’t disappear into the bush but it was plain I was now being invited to continue on my way. I felt thoroughly honoured and a tad relieved my singing didn’t make him turn tail and run though he may have only been being polite hehehehehe.. have a lovely day communing with nature if you can, it’s such a gift!
