here I am again :)

Gday there,

First of all I want to wish you all a very happy Solstice no matter the hemisphere you live in… it always feels for me a very important time as we hover on the precipice of a new era … or so I feel lol … it has been an amazing six months. I have gotten my Light Rigid Licence despite all the setbacks. I have taken my dream trip, a little unsure in my first steps much like any toddler lol.. for toddler I was in the motorhome adventuring stakes, not to mention driving a manual AND a 7 metre vehicle to boot!
When I look back to how worried I was that I had made a huge mistake by buying the bus, never mind spending such a huge amount on converting it, I have to smile at my mind’s ability to make those little worries grow into huge fears. At times the obstacles seemed insurmountable though I should have realised that I would be ok. After all we are all given only what we can handle and, sometimes, hidden within the challenges are the shiniest, most satisfying and unexpected victories of spirit we could imagine.

If I am to be honest, I have to admit I shocked myself with what I could accomplish and the kindness of so many. Too often the media pipes out the darker side of humanity, rarely touching on the beauty that dwells within our tribe. I would like to take a moment today, within our southern hemisphere’s Winter Solstice, to acknowledge all of you with kind hearts and deeply loving souls.. you are the many and without you I would not have been able to bring my dream to fruition. You were my constant comfort and source of inspiration though you knew it not 🙂 For those who are reading my blogs yet have not been part of my outer life, thank you for your interest. Knowing that by doing what I was doing, I could in some way inspire others gave an extra beauty to my times of both creating my home on wheels and doing the trip!

Though there are still many challenges and unexpected hiccups lol, won’t go into those for this is a celebration and I refuse to tarnish it with what will be a past upset very soon …. I will be blogging about where I travel though and hope you will travel with me or, better yet, begin your own travels and share them with me!
