A Plea from my heart to yours…..

I’m writing in my journal yet I’m talking to you too,
Of a world that I remember filled with hearts so wise and true.
I’m listening to the Spirits of this ancient land
As they mourn the loss of harmony they shared with all of man.
I feel their pain and anger in their elemental cries;
Their tears that rent the spirit as they suffer from our lies
That only man has got a soul; only man can feel.
Through his blinkered ways he destroys the Ones that heal.
“Your ignorance will cost you more than you can see!”
Tbey cry into the night as they struggle to break free.
“Release us from illusions that torment Nature’s soul;
Join us in the dance of life. Don’t destroy the whole!”
The ways of greed and arrogance are giving way at last.
Mankind is waking from his fear-fuelled hate; and fast.
The peace we seek by any means comes from unity;
The love for all who share our home that truly sets us free.
