And the beat goes on….. la de da de da LOL….

Seems a fitting title all things considered. As you might have guessed I have been gone for over a fortnight from the beautiful Glenreagh town. I have had friends to catch up with and chores to do. I have also had to check in with my Cardiologist, thankfully it was only a check-in since I was told not to come back to him for 3 years… yayy lol.
I must say I am feeling pretty fit in myself even if losing the 4kgs I put on is proving somewhat of a challenge lol. Anyway in amongst getting a new referral to my cardio, flitting around catching up with friends and doing some readings for new and old clients, I decided to tackle the issues I have with my sturbborn JR, Frankie lol… he is true to his breed and rebels when he has to be restrained in any way …. e.g. when we travel for his safety and when we walk. My poor body has been put through the ringer when it comes to walks as even with a so called no-pull harness paired with a wonderful lead that goes around my waist , he manages to almost cut my body in half lolol. I have been persevering with the whole thing for far too long and so in desperation I decided that I needed to give the Pawezy harness with the ring at the front a go. I was doubtful as I was worried I would hurt my boy…never mind he joyfully hurts me! And while I was at it, I finally gave in and bought a rather expensive collapsible canvas and mesh crate for him to sit in while I drive. It is the perfect size to stop him from getting to the front, the biggest worry for me as there is one very large windscreen in my bus and without a restraint or something blocking his way, he could end up sailing through it. Something I could not bear to contemplate, though the last two years have been constant fights to get his car harness on him ….
Anyway, the crate is a huge success. He does climb on top trying to get to his little chairbed on the passenger seat lol but I have scotched that by taking the crate away for his night sleeps since he considers the crate his enemy now lolol… as for the new harness, he went exceedingly well until day 3. I knew he would try to win out lol and he tried everything he could think of but that darn thing just kept turniing him around lolol .. a big win for my aching body I can tell you. For the most part we are now enjoying a less competitive walk though every time he tries to pull just enough that he wont be turned around but still feel like his is winning hahahahahah. This I can live with so yes the beat goes on!
After my successful appointment with my cardio and another round of exploring with the boy on a couple of his favourite walks in Port Macquarie, I reluctantly headed back to Coffs Harbour. The roads are a bit mad with holiday makers who live up to the hype that they are mad behind the wheel and away from home. I almost got taken out by a small white car who was coming out of the road that leads to the Plaza in Nambucca as I was driving through on the main road. The mind boggles that someone could entirely miss seeing a 7 metre bus but there we are. Fortunately she saw me in time and slewed around enough that she wound up missing the side of my bus by a whisker so to speak.
Other challenges are cropping up now and they just may put paid to my adventuring for a long time… fingers crossed its not that bad. I won’t speak of it now though. Lets just leave it on a happier note what with my beautiful but stubborn boy somewhat pulled into line lolol… cheers all. I bope you all have a wonderful time and don’t forget …. Mercury is not only going retrograde but has chosen to do so in the intense sign of Scorpio~ hang in there everyone <3
