SWEET DELIGHT
Spring’s here at last, goodbye winter gloom!
I throw off my woollies and run from the room.
It’s still a work day, I shouldn’t be out …
My nose to the grindstone, not mucking about!
How can I resist this warm, sunny day?
Why all of nature has come out to play!
The flowers are wearing their prettiest hues,
From the palest white to the deepest of blues.
The birds are all singing, each to their own tune.
We’ll all feel like finding a mate pretty soon.
Each season has beauty to offer us all …
But I have to admit I prefer Springtime’s call!
Enchanting Seductress, she woos with delight,
I’m thinking I wouldn’t mind playing tonight.
To top it all off there is a full moon;
My body is whispering it needs loving soon!
No wonder there’s so much joy in the air,
In weather like this we don’t have a care.
I don’t know about you but I love to be free.
Both Spring and Summer express the real me!
