Ocean’s Beauty
Ocean’s Beauty
She’s wantonly wild and gloriously free,
A natural beauty that dwells in the sea.
Her hair’s made of seaweed; her body from wood.
She’s the heartbeat and mother of my neighbourhood.
A mythical creature who sings to her mate,
No man can resist her musical bait.
She’s youthfully innocent, a Nymph of the sea;
As old as creation she needs to swim free.
If you happen to be by the ocean at night
The bustle of humans gone now from sight;
You might just be lucky and get a peek
At this legendary beauty of whom I now speak.
In the sigh of the wind that’s caressing your skin;
You may hear her singing; inviting you in.
I’ve one word of warning I hope you’ll abide;
Be content just to watch or you’ll drown by her side.
