my stay at Dalmeny Campgrounds N.S.W. so far

Good morning! Its a lovely though misty morn here as I sit and type to you in my little motorhome on a knoll overlooking the ocean and the estuary… the world is just beginning to waken now and I watch as cars begin to move about the nearby roadside.I awoke to a dry day after yet another set of thunderstorms last night. I don’t mind them coming of a night, my little home is watertight and so I can fall to sleep snug in my bed while Mother Nature grumbles and throws her water bombs outside.
Where I am we have been fortunate so far in that we have only had what would be considered normal thunderstorms for this time of year. The days have been divine though. True, the sun got out of bed a little later yesterday but that gave me time to wash my hair and be a girl lol, taking advantage of the showers to do what a girl ought to do… anyway back to the true beauty here 🙂

Yesterday Alex and I rejoiced as we explored our latest discovery along our path. The first thing I noticed was that a lot of people here had dogs just like I do.. well I reckon the dogs have us LOL… and, like Alex all were eager to make new friends, both doggy and human. Alex almost pulled my shoulder out of my socket in his hurry to get to know them. One in particular seems to be a joy for him. Would you believe it is a lovely big Rottweiler who is four years old and quite patient with a youngblood like my Alex who immediately tried to pounce lol. Alex is a jumper, his paws splayed out before him; makes him look like he is trying to hug the other dogs. Some do not mind but a lot do and I have been trying patiently to teach him to sit and let the others come to him, especially the little ones lol.. he must be a frightening sight as he leaps towards those little souls.

What joy it was for him to find one that is not only bigger but not the least bit perturbed by his antics and suffice it to say that every time we met this one, and its owners, Alex would drag me helplessly along unless I noticed first and planted my feet stubbornly on the ground. At least that way he only jerked me forwards a little way.. oh my aching shoulder! LOL…You see, he has always played with my daughter’s dog Amber who is a Great Dane cross so he is used to being able to be rough, though since Alex has come of age more, Amber has been over the top with her attempts to dominate Alex. I think he is enjoying being able to pounce on the Rottie without consequence.. well so far LOL.

I knew my darling boy was feeling the restrictions so since it was continuing to be dry, we went for a walk along the path beside the beach. There is a placard here that tells of its history, being a special place to more than one aboriginal tribe. I did take a pic but as I ‘lost’ my camera again it was on my mobile. I was not too worried about the camera as I could distinctly remember putting it in a ‘safe place’ and as my children will tell you, it isnt unusual to not find the thing straight away when I do LOL..anyway I have it back now woohoo .. so more pics to be taken and I will add them soon I promise all those who have asked 🙂

As I ambled along with Alex, we met many more friends, both doggy and human. I also found a plank that denoted that stretch of the coast was known as ‘Joshs Beach’. I grinned and vowed to come back with my camera once found and take a picture of it for my darling grandson Joshua lol. He will love it!

I have my washing in soak now, the sun has pierced the misty veils and my boy needs a walk. I will be back with more soon. For now I intend to take advantage of the calm and pristine day..may even stay another night! I leave you with a quote I love till we ‘meet’ again….To search for God with logical proof .. is like searching for the Sun with a Lamp. A Sufi Proverb… Blessed Be
