MURDER FOR GAIN
These gentle giants of the sea
bring no harm to you or me;
a part of Nature’s mighty plan,
hunted for money by modern man.
These men cry out for equal rights,
ignoring those poor creatures’ plights.
No longer needed to feed the hordes,
still they’re murdered with steel on cords.
Those who see what lies behind
this push to hunt more of their kind,
are crying out in horror and fear
as the motive for this now comes clear.
The coldest men from distant lands
cloak from us their evil plans.
The power to rule is their only goal,
lust for wealth now fills their Soul.
A delicacy in some other lands;
watch the money changing hands.
Eyes now glitter with lusty glee
and another Whale perishes in the sea
No time to stop and count the cost,
hundreds of dollars could be lost!
Whales are not like you and me;
why should we care if they cease to be!
Can we not understand this place
that keeps alive the human race?
It’s not our right to murder for gain;
these beautiful creatures too feel pain.
Imagine now the future we face;
the Animals gone without a trace;
how will we feed the Human Race,
the sole inheritors of a barren place!
